Eagles Fly Past Chants

The Florida Gulf Coast University Eagles made the trek up to Charleston South Carolina for a trio of SELC games this weekend. The Chants took the field against the Nationally Ranked Eagles on Saturday and fell 14-3.

Senior Goalie August Schoenfelder took the loss on the day but still managed to turn away 19 shots, his second highest output on the season. Sophomore Attackmen Nick Aquino continued to drive the offense with a pair of goals while classmate Alec Mastroine chipped in the only other goal for the Chants on the day.

The loss brought the Chanticleers to an even 4-4 record on the season but 2-0 in the NE Region with a birth in the SELC tournament already locked up. The Chants will find out their first round opponent once the SW Region Champion and runner up is determined on April 15.
